ENGLISH E​SSAY

 

       English essay is our first assignment for this semester. For the first two months, Ms. Thivilojana has been teaching us ways to write an essay with good structure. The structure of the essay consist of the introduction paragraph, two or three supporting paragraph and a conclusion paragraph.

​

       We have also understand the use of thesis statement, general details, specific details that will make our essay written out in a better way. Ms. Thivilojana has also thought us ways to prepare scratch outline ( mind map ) so that we can prepare and organize our idea before writing an essay.



        The English class that is conducted by Ms. Thivilojana is very interesting and fun. Instead of asking us to write essay and hand up every week. She asked us to form group of three or four and let us discuss about the scratch outline, the essay and others. Through these activities we get to make friends, exchange ideas, and share our experience.



        Thanks to Ms. Thivilojana, English class become much more fun. I really hope that me and my course mate can share more fun time together with Ms. Thivilojana :)

       

      

ORAL PRESENTATION

 

      Before this oral presentation, Ms. Thivilojana has taught us ways to speak in front of the stage and have interaction with the audience. She has also gave each of us chance to talk in front of the class. At first, i was scared. But after a few times I manage to overcome fear and successfully pass this oral presentation.

 

      For this oral presentation, we have to form a group of five and take a video of us introducing and explaining about an ancient built structure. I am lucky to have Choong Lai Mun, Vanessa Shieh Yien Teng, Tan Jou Wen and Liew Chia Niu as my group members. 

   

       After a few discussion, we have decided to choose "The Great Wall of China" to talk about. We really have fun during the process of this video recording. We have to spent time to do research on this structure, and memorize  things that we are going to talk about.It took us a few days to get this video recording done.

 

      I really appreciate and feel grateful for my group members and other friends that have helped me to take this video. Thank you so much :)
